Move-In Apartment Cleaning in Zabeel, Al Karama and Bur Dubai - Al Asfour Al Zahabi - 0588837818
Just got the keys to a new apartment in Zabeel, Al Karama or Bur Dubai? A checklist for cleaning the apartment before the furniture arrives, from cupboards and kitchen to AC vents and bathrooms.
Why Clean the Apartment Before Moving Your Furniture In?
An empty apartment is far easier to clean than a furnished one. Cleaning it before you move in lets you reach every corner: inside the cupboards, where the beds and sofas will go, and behind the spots for the fridge and washing machine. This matters even more in areas with older buildings such as Al Karama and Bur Dubai, or if the apartment has been closed up for a while and dust has built up.
Empty Apartment Cleaning Checklist
Kitchen
- Cabinets inside and out, including shelves and drawers.
- The extractor hood and filter, plus the oven and hob if there are any.
- The inside of the fridge if it comes with the apartment, leaving it slightly open after cleaning to get rid of any smell.
- The sink, tap and drain.
Bathrooms
- Disinfecting the toilet, washbasin, and bathtub or shower.
- Removing limescale from taps and shower heads.
- Cleaning the tile grout and the cabinets under the washbasin.
Bedrooms and Living Room
- Built-in wardrobes on the inside.
- Light switches, doors and handles.
- Windows and their tracks, and all the floors.
- The outer grilles of the AC vents.
Before You Start: Photograph the Apartment's Condition
Before cleaning, take photos of any scratches or defects on the walls, floors and appliances and keep them. This protects you when you hand the apartment back at the end of your tenancy and proves the defects were there before you moved in.
Move-Out Cleaning
The same checklist works when you hand the apartment back. A clean apartment at handover makes it easier to go over its condition with the landlord or the property management company.
